💬 “I tried everything…”
Like many others, I’ve lived with eczema for over 10 years. If you're familiar with the condition, you’ll know how exhausting it is to try every product under the sun, all promising relief - only to be left disappointed time and time again.
Throughout my journey, I’ve tried a lot — high-strength steroid creams, countless moisturisers, prescription ointments, over-the-counter treatments, herbal remedies, imported creams, light therapy... you name it, I’ve probably tried it.
Eventually, I reached a point where, if someone recommended a new product, I wouldn’t even bother trying it. I had started to lose hope. Anyone living with a chronic condition will understand the immense emotional weight that can come alongside the physical discomfort.
While searching for more natural ways to support my skin, I kept coming across stories from people who had used beef tallow for their eczema and experienced incredible improvements. Their experiences gave me the encouragement I needed to try it for myself.

I’ll admit, I was very hesitant at first. The idea of putting beef fat on my skin sounded off-putting, and I wasn’t convinced I could go through with it.
But fast forward to today — I can honestly say tallow has become the best moisturiser I have ever used.
Just two years ago, I ended up in A&E with severe, widespread, infected, weeping eczema covering most of my body. I left with a prescription worth over £70, filled with steroid creams, ointments, and tablets — a frustrating, temporary band-aid solution.
Today, alongside making dietary and lifestyle changes and switching to tallow as my moisturiser, I am, for the first time in over a decade, completely prescription-free, alhamdulillah (praise be to God).
Our homemade Restore & Repair tallow formulation is now the only moisturiser I trust and use. I haven’t found anything else that comes close. My skin feels calmer, more nourished, and more resilient than it has in years — and that’s exactly why I wanted to share it with others.
Living with eczema doesn’t just affect your skin — it affects your whole life. The sleepless nights, the constant discomfort, and the frustration of managing flare-ups can be exhausting. That’s why The Sunnah Luxe is more than just skincare. It was created from real personal experience and a sincere desire to support others who know this struggle all too well.
💬 “Healing my baby’s skin…”
As a mother of young children, including a baby who struggled deeply with eczema, my journey with The Sunnah Luxe has been closely intertwined with Maryam’s. Seeing my baby scratch until his skin bled repeatedly was something no parent wants to witness. We tried so many creams that promised relief, but I couldn't ignore the ingredients they contained. I knew there had to be another gentler solution.
This experience made me look more closely at everything we were bringing into our home; not just skincare, but the food we ate, the products we cleaned with, and even the fragrances we used. I realised how much unnecessary exposure we accepted without even a second thought. Our journey truly began here: with a shared desire to create clean, nourishing products that align with our faith and commitment to family wellness. We quickly realised that many commercial baby skincare products contain parabens, artificial fragrances, and harsh chemicals: ingredients we didn’t want near our loved ones. So, we set out to formulate something different: pure, gentle, yet deeply effective.
Alhamdulilah (praise be to God), after months of focusing on gut health, adopting a low-tox lifestyle, and consistently using our special tallow formulation, my baby’s skin has fully healed. I know first-hand how painful and exhausting it is to watch your child scratch uncontrollably, breaking the skin barrier and creating a consistent cycle of infection and irritation. This is the kind of healing we hope every family can experience — whether dealing with eczema, other skin conditions, or simply seeking healthier, nourished skin. Maryam and I shared the same vision, and wanted to create a way to protect and nurture our families with the safest, most nourishing ingredients possible. Everything we make is something we've used in our own homes first. If our products can bring comfort to another family the way they did to ours, then we would be truly grateful.
